Diane Seed's Culinary Adventures Diane Seed, author of the best-selling "The Top One Hundred Pasta Sauces" and many other books on Italian cooking, has lived in Rome for over 28 years. She has a cooking school in her own home in the beautiful Doria Pamphili palace in the centre of Rome at Piazza Venezia. Her apartment is in the part of the palace used to house guests on the Grand Tour in the early part of the last century, and the cooking school has a round window that looks over Piazza Venezia, down to the Forum and the Colosseum. The back terrace looks over the tiled roof to see the dome of St.Peter's. There are 1 day classes, 2 to 3 days and occasional week-long courses. Steal a day from the classical sites and art treasures to visit the food market and get a feeling for the 'real' Rome, then back to the kitchen to sample, cook, eat and drink ! Longer courses Only 10 guests are accepted for the course, and participants are free to arrange their own flights and hotel reservations, although a list of near-by different category hotels will be sent on request.
